Prom
It may make me sound like a girly-girl, but I love prom: not only the essence of it, but the beauty of it as well. As a girl, there aren't many times in a high school career where you get to buy a fancy dress, get your hair done, go out to dinner, and dance the night away with your friends. I don't know about the rest of you, but I live for nights like these: the hectic but worth it, unforgettable, and beautiful nights.
Graduation is fast approaching. Only a mere 29 days left, not including today. The closer it gets, the more excited I become; however, I also grow more and more sad. It's forcing me to realize that the people I've been with for the last 12 years will be parting ways soon. Chances are, I won't see half of them anymore. I need to make every moment count while I still have the opportunity.
Coming back to prom, this is one of the last times I have to spend with my class. Knowing that, I'm psyched about the limo that will be taking 25 of my closest friends and I there. We wanted a way to get prom that would allow us to be together one last time before we graduate, so it's awesome that we can be.
Yes, there are people crowned King and Queen at prom, but it's not ALWAYS about the royalty. I can't wait to see how beautiful everyone looks. It truly is a rare time that you get to see all of your friends dressed up together, and it always makes me incredibly happy, even if I'm not the one wearing the crown. I'm looking forward to making this year's prom count.

Wow, Meg. I love what you've done with this blog. I love prom, too. You're right about "the essence of it." There's something magical about dressing up with your friends and dancing the night away- like an old school ball. Even if you're not wearing a crown, you'll always be a princess to me:)
